OK, I'm in some dire need of help with the basement project. I can't freakin' decide on a paint color for the walls and trim.

So, to make this interesting, I'm asking for all of your help in the decision process. Right now I'm planning on white for the ceiling and Berber carpet (something light).

Here's how it will work:

1) submit your color choices showing the two colors (list which is for walls and which for trim)
2) contest runs through lunchtime Friday
3) Sue will review all submissions and make the final choice Friday night
4) winner will be posted with their color choices Friday night
5) winner will get to pick ONE of these MOC for their efforts:

Exclamation

Walls: Necro-plasma green.
Trimmings: Black.

If it's going to be the Spawn toy room, might as well have that look too it.

This really all depends on what you're going to be using the basement for.

If you're going with a rec room type area how about:

option 1

or

option 2

And if you're going for a formal sitting area type room:

option 3

I was gonna do green and red, but realized how Christmas-y it looked, though a little necro grren between the black and red might look good, but then it would be three colours...

EDIT: shit! guess I should have put a little white aroudn the black border!

if you really wanna see it in all it's gloriousness, save the pic

paint buzz palette

i could see different color blue walls would look nicely with a white trim...
but if ihad to pickone blue it would be star command

Id go with eggshell paint on the walls, white accoustic spray on the cieling, oatmeal berber carpet, light oak doors and trim (and bar if you add one) and green and oak tables and accessories. If you get bold you could do one wall in forest green to add color. some pics of the colors....

oak, eggshell, white, oatmeal and forest green all look great together. add that textured white spray to the ceiling and it'll look great

One note for the walls: white is not an option. After living in an apartment with white everything for 3 years, I have vowed to not have white walls in the basement.

I return you to your previous thinking.
